Itinerary
Day 1 — Arrival & Local Exploration
Guests arrive at the Fairytale Cottage Retreat (own transportation required).
Check-in Time: After 4PM.

• Walk the Malahat SkyWalk, a stunning spiral tower with panoramic views of the Saanich Inlet.
• Visit the historic Kinsol Trestle, one of the world’s tallest wooden rail bridges.
• Stroll down to the private beach for fresh oysters and seaside relaxation.
Evening at leisure — enjoy sunset by the dock or a fireplace moment indoors.
Day 2 — Private Boat Cruise (11 AM – 3 PM)
Departure from the Private Dock — Step aboard the Axopar 22 for your exclusive 4-hour voyage.
Saanich Inlet — Sail through calm waters surrounded by cedar-covered cliffs; look for seals and eagles.
Salt Spring Island Coastline — Cruise past hidden bays and forest coves, a perfect spot for photos and wildlife sightings.
Wildlife Spotting — Keep an eye out for porpoises, sea lions, and migrating birds.
Return Journey — Glide back toward the Fairytale Cottage dock as the fjord opens into the ocean.
After your cruise, enjoy more time onshore — collect oysters by the beach, explore nearby viewpoints, or simply unwind in the jacuzzi as the sun sets over the inlet.

Upgrade your cruise to 6 hours for a rare and breathtaking route few ever experience — sailing directly to the world-famous Butchart Gardens.
Navigate across the serene Saanich Inlet, approaching the Gardens from the ocean — a perspective accessible only by private vessels.
Enjoy the dramatic cliffs and lush greenery of Finlayson Arm on the way.
Capture unforgettable photos as you glide past the flower-draped shoreline before returning to your private dock.

8-Hour Full-Day Expedition — Shin Mei Spiritual Centre & Hidden Fjords(+$1,200)
For a full-day adventure, extend your journey to 8 hours and uncover Vancouver Island’s most secret sanctuaries.
Continue past Butchart Gardens into the northern inlet to visit the secluded Shin Mei Spiritual Centre, a Japanese-inspired retreat perched among the cliffs — accessible only by sea.
Enjoy tranquil moments surrounded by cedar forest and ocean air.
On your return, explore hidden gems like Tod Inlet, Brentwood Bay, and Finlayson Arm, perfect for photography, swimming, or an onboard picnic.
